Introduce

This Bimetal screws is comprised of two metal types – the point is manufactured from heat treated high carbon steel for self-drilling performance and the head is manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel (304/316).The two metals are fused together along the shaft to form a screw that offers excellent self-drilling properties combined with exceptional corrosion resistance.

Screws can be supplied with and without washers both polyamide or EPDM bonded.

Surface treatment

Bimetal screws have a dual layer Ruspert surface coating therefore the surface will not appear to have a typical stainless steel look. This is simply part of the manufacturing process ensuring a high level of corrosion protection.

• Coating： High quality surface coatings make screws more beautiful and slippery, they prevent corrosion and cold welding.
• Galvanized：Galvanizing is the process of applying a protective coating to steel . The coating is made from zinc and is used to halt the formation of rust.
• Ruspert：This protective coating has the additional benefit of reducing the electrolytic corrosion potential and has a 1000/1500hr salt spray rating

• Manufactured from SS (A2)304 and (A4)316 grade Austenitic Stainless Steel for maximum corrosion resistance with hardened carbon steel drill tip for maximum drilling performance
• The points are numbered from 1 through 5, the larger the number, the thicker metal it can go through without a pilot hole. For example, 5-point can drill a 12mm of steel
