Introduce

As the name suggests, self-tapping screws are screws that can tap the thread into the material. Self-tapping screws are used in a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and brick. These screws cannot drill through metal and require a pilot hole to be pre-drilled before installation. A pilot hole is created by using a drill bit which is slightly smaller than the screw and the threads of the screw tap the metal or wood while the screw is being installed. This knocking action can hold the material together. Self-tapping screws can also have many different types of tips, and these tips help tap the threads into various substrates.

Flat Head Screws, also called Countersunk Screws, are conical with a flat outer face and a tapering inner face. One advantage of this type of screw is that almost no head protrudes to the surface, so the head can be sunk into the material.So these screws are usually made of stainless steel or zinc coating.
