SS flat head machine screws are usually designed to have a finer and more accurate thread than other fastener types. They are usually used with pre-drilled internal threaded holes or nuts. Machine screws are most commonly used to securely fix metal parts together in all kinds of machinery or structures.

The stainless steel machine screw has a flat surface and a button head with a star driver. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion and may be magnetic. The star-shaped driver has a six-point notch with a center pin that requires a special driver to tighten or loosen the screw to prevent tampering.
